IKEA wanted to encourage people to live a more sustainable lifestyle, so we created a digital puzzle-solving quest on Instagram. We gamified their Instagram grid and challenged followers to solve puzzles, follow clues, and collect secret letters. Those who followed every step and discovered the password were entered for a chance to win the ultimate sustainable prize: an IKEA tiny house.



We teased the scavenger hunt on IKEA’s social channels


We held a livestream from inside the tiny home with IKEA’s designers to launch the scavenger hunt

Then we dropped one clue every other day, which led to a post, which led to an influencer, who gave another clue, which led to another post, which revealed a secret letter. The combination of all 6 letters (K  L  I  M  A  T – swedish for climate) would give the hunters a chance to win the tiny home.
